Why?

Hi, if you’re curious about why I started this website, here’s my thinking:

From now on, I will attempt to write my own blog posts because I’m a firm believer that writing is thinking. This is especially important now, when everything seems to be competing for our attention (social media) and we can be as productive as ever in a short amount of time (AI). As a natural consequence, our ability to think critically or go deep into our own thoughts is becoming increasingly difficult.

Writing is a solution to that. It’s how the great thinkers and builders of the pre-social media era, and of the AI era, pushed our society forward. Even though I already knew this notion, it has been an awakening for me since I reread Paul Graham’s post Writes and Write-Nots just a few weeks ago. Deep, clear thinking is becoming rare these days, and I want to be one of the few who still has it.
